I see the camera as an instrument of clarity allowing me to see, through capture, an essence that lies beneath the surface or that remains once the shutter closes to reveal astounding moments of intimacy.

The human is rarely so candid, so present or so available, whether willingly or not than when timing and intuition come together in a kind of immediate synergy to momentarily pause the soul in image form.

This unmistakable intimacy is my curiosity as an artist, and this continues to inform my practice as a photographer and as a dancer, choreographer and performance / installation artist through robust research, passionate exploration and courageous reconnaissance of the self.

Portraiture and fine art are my areas of deepest curiosity and these take many forms. The landscape of the human face and body are ever changing and both remarkable, poetic and surprisingly ordinary in equal parts.

I have my own studio in Maldon in central Victoria, Australia and also work in Melbourne.

I like to spend time with my clients in advance of the shoot, if possible, to determine our direction and to establish a rapport. I am known for my way of making people comfortable and at ease during the session. We will explore your needs as well as some mutually agreed upon creative ideas that may be planned in advance or arise during the shoot. We will look at clothing you already have and also some alternatives. This can be done in person or virtually using zoom.

I hold a current Working with Children check.
